The Tactile Sensory Bags Set can be purchased in two different variations.
Option 1 includes 5 pairs of cushions made of plain fabrics with different textures. The objective is to match the bags with the same texture, only by touching them with the hand (you may use a blindfold). This way the stereognostic sense is refined and concentration is bettered. The stereognostic sense (tactile gnosis) is important for the children's emerging ability to name and perceive their environment, building their understanding of dimension and supporting cognitive pathways that will be used for mathematical and spatial reasoning and language development.
Option 2 includes 10 cushions of plain fabrics with different textures. It develops language and refines the stereognostic sense. Which fabric is soft/smooth/rough/...?
Support your children to refine their abilities to perceive through their senses and to order and classify what they perceive.
The set comes in a cloth bag to store the little cushions.
All bags are filled with fiber (cushion filling).
